Re-development of a Lake District House

A 19th-century country house was completely renovated and extended to create a luxurious family home.

This was an ambitious, high-quality project which brought specialist professionals together. It presented an opportunity to work with a scale of construction unusual in domestic contracts. Techniques ranged from domestic to commercial and industrial details such as aluminium glass curtain walling and glue-laminated timber portal frame.

The result – a truly unique property, unifying old with new creating a calm, bright and contemporary family home, which was featured in Cumbria Life (PDF, 15MB).
