This luxurious family home was built with a view to creating a spacious, practical home of traditional design, respecting its Grade II listed neighbour, but with contemporary styling and features to do it justice to its location in a beautiful Cumbrian hamlet.
Nielsens designed and built this stunning home on a former caravan site and wanted it to be in keeping with its locality and incorporate features to make the house look and feel as if it ‘had always been there’. Attention to details such as window style and dimensions, stonework detail, external materials and even building a false chimney breast in the kitchen and chimney stack all ensured that the aim was achieved.
Building high specification, bespoke homes is at the core of Nielsens' developments, this property incorporated a handcrafted kitchen, full depth double aspect living room, feature fireplaces, double showers , a roll top bath, 5 double bedrooms and generous en-suite and dressing area to the master bedroom.
In recognition of the high quality of the build, this property was Highly Commended in Eden DC’s Build Quality Awards.
